The Environmental Technologies, Management and Biogeochemistry Research Group of the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) carries out research and scientific cooperation work in areas related to environmental management, air and sea water quality and sustainable port management, both marine-maritime activities and protected areas, among other fields in which it also works and cooperates transnationally with institutions of the Macaronesian and international region.

The group has facilities in the Faculty of Marine Sciences (in Tafira) and in the Technological Science Park (in Taliarte), and it counts with researchers and students of the ULPGC, ​​the Canary Islands Oceanic Platform (PLOCAN) and the Center for Biodiversity and Environmental Management (BIOGES).
